Six Manipur policemen named for gallantry, service medals

Imphal: Ministry of home affairs has listed six policemen from Manipur for Police Medal for Gallantry (1), President Medal for Distinguished Service (1) and President Police Medal for Meritorious Service to be awarded on the ocassion of Republic Day.

Assistant sub-inspector Ningthoujam Ibotomba Singh, was named for Police Medal for Gallantry and Thadou Mangkojang Kipgen, Commandant, 7 Indian Reserve Battalion, Manipur for President Police Medal for Distinguished Service.

For President Police Medal for Meritorious Service the ministry named Helthang Thanghaulien Gangte, IGP (Training), Police Headquarter, Manipur, Takhelmayum Gojendr Singh, Subedar, MPTC, Manipur, unil Kumar Soram, Subedar, MPTC, Manipur and Yumnam Guneswor Singh, Havildar, MPTC, Manipur.

The home ministry listed 189 names for Police MedalforGallantry, 88 for Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 662 for Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
