Covid-19 claims 3 lives, infects 388 persons

Imphal: Manipur on Wednesday reported three Covid-19 related deaths, 388 positive cases and 240 recovered cases.

The death cases belonged to Imphal West, Bishnupur and Ukhrul.

“All of them had co-morbidities and none of them had vaccinated,” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 related deaths in the state rose to 2034.

The fresh cases belonged to Imphal East (97), Imphal Wcst (175), Thoubal (16), Bishnupur (14), Kakching (12), Kangpolcpi (8), Jiribam (4), Ukhrul (5), Tamenglong (1), Tengnoupal (21), Noney (2), Senapati (8), Chandel (4), Churachandpur (17) and CAPF (4).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.

The cumulative number of positive cases was 1,31,339. The number of active cases mounted to 3744. The recovery rate further fell to 95.60 percent.

As on Tuesday a total of 231 D-type oxygen cylinders and 11 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

Covid Hospital Bed status

The number of doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered on Tuesday was 8894. The cumulative doses was 2455102 (1st dose of 1398572, 2nd dose of 1037016 and precautionary dose of 19514).
