MLA Joykisan joins JD(U)

Imphal: Sitting MLA of Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency Kh. Joykisan has officially joined Janata Dal United (JD-U) in presence of its state president, Hangkhanpao Taithul at its state office, here on Thursday.
Joykisan had publicly announced that he will be joining JD(U) at his residence on Wednesday in presence of national secretary JD(U) and Manipur in-charge, Ramprit Mandal.
Joykisan said he decided to join the party from the advice of his supporters of the Thangmeiband Constituency, and for new hope and development a national party is needed.
JD(U) National president Nitish Kumar is also a respectable politician and under his leadership a new Manipur can be brought, he added.
Joykisan made his debut in politics by winning as Trinamool Congress candidate in 2012. In 2015 he joined BJP and elected again. He then left BJP and contested on Congress ticket in 2017 election and won for the third time. He was recently expelled from INC.
