452 more positive for Covid-19, 407 recovered, 1 fully vaccinated person expired

Imphal: Manipur on Friday reported death of one fully vaccinated Covid-19 patient who belonged to Imphal West, 452 new positive cases and 407 recovered cases.

“In the last twenty-four hours, 418 persons (210M, 208F) from general population and 34 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases respectively at RIMS (39), JNIMS (38) and other testing centres (375),” Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The positive cases from the general population are from Imphal East (135), Imphal West (172), Thoubal (21), Bishnupur (22), Kakching (11), Karnjong (2), Kangpokpi (6), Ukhrul (6), Tamenglong (5), Tengnoupal (3), Noney (3), Senapati (7), Chandel (9) and Churachandpur (16). All necessary medical precaution, measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.

The cumulative number of deaths is 2037 and thwt of positive cases is 1,32,156, it said.

The number of active cases has reached 3804 and the recovery rate had dropped to 95.58 percent.

As on Thursday a total of 412 D-type oxygen cylinders and 91 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

Covid Hospital Bed status

The number of doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered on Thursday was 8691. The cumulative doses was 2467527 (1st dose of 1405834, 2nd dose of 1039615 and precautionary dose of 22078).
