BJP chief spokesperson Bijoy promises not to vote for BJP, blames RSS

Imphal: Manipur BJP spokesperson, who was denied of BJP ticket for the forthcoming Manipur Legislative Assembly election, said he will not support the BJP candidate of Uripok Assembly Constituency, instead he will cast his vote for NOTA or not exercise his franchise.

Bijoy said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) supported the corrupt practice of BJP candidate of Uripok Assembly Constituency and there is a conspiracy between RSS and announcement of BJP ticket for the Uripok Assembly Constituency.

He was speaking to reporters at his Lamphel residence in Imphal.

He said RSS has become an organisation which do not have accountability but have power.

“Power without accountability is a very dangerous,” Bijoy said referring to RSS.

He said he strongly condemned the statement made by BJP candidate, L. Raghumani Sharma through a phone call that went viral recently defaming that BJP aspiring candidates like Bijoy and Minabanta will negotiate with money in favour of Raghumani to withdraw their candidature.

He said he joined joined BJP in 1994 and he will take it as an insult for giving BJP candidate ticket to Raghumani who joined the party just about three months ago, and for not taking any necessary steps against defaming him, who is a senior member of BJP

People can conduct a drive against taking bribe during the time of election and by emphasising to promote local party. In the present political scenario, the strength of local parties has been weakened due to lack of financial support, he added.
