AR conducts medical camp

Imphal: ​In continuation with the efforts of Assam Rifles to reach out local population and assist them in humanitarian aid, Phundrei battalion under the aegis of IGAR(S) organised a medical camp at Chakpikarong village, Chandel district on Saturday.

As part of Operation Sadbhavna, the medical camp was organised to assist the villagers who have limited access to basic healthcare services in remote areas of Chandel district.

Medical team from Assam Rifles in collaboration with the Community Health Centre, Chakpikarong carried out health check up of 178 villagers to assess their health status. The individuals diagnosed with severe diseases were referred to civil hospital for detailed examination.

The medical camp culminated with the distribution of essential medicines to villagers.
