‘Manipur BJP legislature leader will be announced after Holi’

Imphal: Manipur state BJP legislature party leader will be announced by the central observer, Nirmala Sitharaman after Holi festival.
State BJP president A. Sharda Devi said this while interacting with reporters on her return to Imphal at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport on Thursday.
She said regarding the selection of legislature party leader no indication or letter has been received yet from the central leaders. It is to be done by central leaders of BJP and the announcement will be made after the Holi festival.
There is no division among the party members however the blasting of crackers at state BJP office was carried by some youths with the joy that the legislature party leader is going to be selected, she added.
Sarda and care taker chief minister N. Biren Singh came on a same flight. MLA Th Biswajit who also went together to Delhi in a same charter flight arrived Imphal earlier in a different flight.
As they have to reach New Delhi in time to attend the review meeting, they together departed in a charter flight as there were some unavailability of flight ticket. On their return to Imphal there were so issue on flight ticket and due to the reason Biswajit reached Imphal earlier, she said.
Biren said the meeting was only a review meeting conducted under national BJP president JP Nadda. During the meeting they discussed about the recent election of Manipur and what step can be taken up in the next five years by the party.
BJP is a well organised and disciplined party. “We follow the leaders decision,” Biren said.
The news that went viral was just a mere speculation from media with an unofficial source. It is yet to be decided who will going to be the Chief Minister for a new Manipur government, he added.
He appealed not to publish or broadcast speculation news stating that it may create misunderstanding to the people.
