Biren to lead Manipur again

Imphal: Nongthombam Biren Singh has been declared as legislature leader of BJP Manipur to continue as chief minister of Manipur for a other term.

Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman made the announcement at Thambal Sanglen, BJP office in Imphal on Sunday.

Sitharaman and Union law and justice minister Kiren Rijiju arrived at the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in Imphal on Sunday.

The two Central BJP leaders were accompanied by state Manipur caretaker chief minister Biren Singh and state legislators Th.  Biswajit and Y. Khemchand, who were called to New Delhi by the central leadership on Saturday.
