Smuggled items from Myanmar recovered in Manipur

Imphal: ​Tengnoupal battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) recovers  contraband items smuggled from Mayanmar in General Area Kwatha Nala Junction, Tengnoupal on Monday.

​Based on a specific input a search operation was launched in which several packages concealed in the jungle were found, the Assam Rifles said on Tuesday.

The seized contraband items worth approximately Rs 12.51 lakh was handed over to Customs department, Moreh for further investigation.
