Manipur observes Shaheed Diwas

Imphal: Shaheed Diwas was observed on Wednesday at Maharaja Chandrakirti Auditorium, Palace Compound, Imphal with chief minister  N. Biren Singh gracing the function as chief guest.

The observation was jointly organised by the ministry of culture and department of art and culture paying tribute to revolutionaries and martyrs as a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav – Celebrating 75 Years of India’s Independence.

Ministers Thongam Biswajit, Yumnam Khemchand, Govindas Konthoujam, Nemcha Kipgen, Awangbow Newmai, chief secretary Dr Rajesh Kumar, director general of police P. Doungel and other senior officials of the state government attended the function among others, a DIPR release said.
