Another nabbed with opium

Imphal: In continuation of N.Biren Singh government’s War on Drugs 2.0 mission a team of Imphal East Police arrested one person with Opium on Monday.

The person was identified as Nehmingou Kipgen of Pangjang Tehil-Sadar Hill East Saikul, Kangpokpi.

The police team recovered about 500 gm of opium concealed in a packet of Nestle Everyday Milk powder.

On further investigation, he revealed that the opium was bought from a person called Hesei in Churachandpur  on Monday.

“With abundant inputs from various sources, the war on drugs will only get intensified now.  We’ll go after each one of them,” chief minister Biren said.
