Assam Rifles foils cross border smuggling of narcotics

Imphal: ​Moreh battalion of Assam Rifles under the agies of IGAR (South) in a joint operation with Moreh Police foiled cross border smuggling of narcotics at Indo-Myanmar border town Moreh on Wednesday.

​Based on specific input, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Moreh Police intercepted a Tata Sumo at Police check post.

On thorough search of the vehicle 684 grams of narcotics in 60 soap cases were recovered. The seized narcotics were assessed to be worth Rs 1.44 crore, the Assam Rifles under
