‘Government will provide income source to at least 1 family member’

Imphal: BJP government has started taking initiatives to provide a source of earning at least a person of each family member, Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh said on Saturday.
Biren was speaking during his reception ceremony held Lainingthou Puthiba ground, Yumnam Khunou, Imphal East on Saturday.
As a part of the 100 days programme of new BJP government, 68 IAS officers have been deputed to 68 sub-divisions of Manipur in order to bring welfare and development. Survey has been started to take necessary steps, the chief minister said.
BJP government will try to solve the unemployment issue within 5 years by providing source of earning for each family members, he added.
Central leaders are much concerned for the welfare of the people of North East and Manipur. Reduction of disturbed area from some of the north eastern state including Manipur is a proof for that, he said.
After surveying the law and order situation in Manipur, state government will propose Centre to bring a political solution in order to reduce more disturb areas from Manipur, Biren said.
He said elections for autonomous district, Panchayat and municipality are coming up and people should take initiatives to reduce corruption by avoiding bribe.
The government will try at its level best to reduce corruption, he added and appealed the people to cooperate with the government.
