2 drug dealers arrested, 5 drug abusers sent to rehabilitation centre

Imphal: In continuation of Manipur government’s War on Drugs team of Narcotic Cell, Imphal East and volunteers of YADA in presence of an executive magistrate busted a drug den at around Khomidok Sorok  Mapal, Heigrumakhong on Friday.

Under the supervision of SP  M. Pradip Singh, the team of Narcotic Cell acted swiftly. When the team reached near the residence of Md.Sanajaoba, 37, one unknown youth was coming out in  a suspicious manner from the residence. He was detained and verified.

On checking him, one blue plastic was found. It contained 21 gm of WY tablets. The team cordoned and searched the residence of Md.Sanajaoba. On that one Ibem, 27, wife of Md.Sanajaoba produced  Heroin powder of 16 gm, one single barrel without licence, two mobile phones, one tablet phone, nine live cartidges and two empty cartidges, police said.

On that five drug users were found sitting at the residence using Heroin in a room.

They were handed over to rehabilitation  centre.

Moinam Sana, 29, son of Moinam Yusuf Ali of Khomidok Sorok Mapal and Ibem were arrested. They along with the seized items were being handed over to Heingnag Police station.
