Bomb found in Imphal East

Imphal: One hand grenade was found at the residential area of Laipham Khunou Mayai Leikai, Imphal East while cleaning bamboo roots on Tuesday evening.

The old bomb was reportedly found at the residence of one Laishram Dinesh of Laipham Khunou Mayai Leikai, Imphal East which falls under the jurisdiction of Heingang Police station at around 3.30 pm.

A team of bomb defusal squad rushed to the spot and collected the bomb safely.

The bomb was disposed at Heingang Ching at around 6.34 pm
