Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh has conveyed his ‘warm’ greetings to the people of Manipur particularly to all ‘Muslim brothers and sisters’ on the auspicious and joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan/ Ramzan and the beginning of Shawwal, the tenth month of Islamic Calendar. After a month of abstinence and devotion to Allah, the festival allows Muslims to reward themselves with what they previously gave up in the name of their faith. It also reaffirms the abiding faith in the spirit of compassion and charity.
“May the noble ideals that mark Eid-ul-Fitr enrich our lives with peace, prosperity and the spirit of humanity,” Biren said.
