Brown Sugar Worth Rs 2.5 crore seized

Imphal: A combined team of Moreh police and 43 Assam Rifles have seized 30 soap cases of suspected brown sugar weighing 1.268 kg at Moreh Police check-post.

Moreh is Indo-Myanmar border town in Manipur.

The seized drug valued at about Rs 2.5 crore from one Paominlun (40), at Moreh Police Checkpost.

“This is yet another major bust achieved by Tengnoupal Police in the last few weeks. Well done, team,” chief minister N. Biren Singh said.

He said it was another major seizure of suspected Brown Sugar in the War on drugs 2.0.
