2 including 1 drug kingpin arrested

Imphal: Narcotics Cell, Imphal East Police and volunteers of Youth Athletic Development Association (YADA) on Saturday busted a drug den at Keirao Sabal area.

One drug dealer kingpin identified as Md.Ramijuddin alias Lakou, 46, son of late Md.Kayamuddin of Keirao Sabal Leikai and his associate Md.Firoz Khan, 35, son of Md.Saheruddin of Keirao Sabal Leikai were nabbed.

Police said acting on an information a team of Narcotics Cell, Imphal East and a team of Covid Facility Hospital, Kiyamgei, volunteers of YADA and an executive magistrate rushed Keirao Sabal area and busted the residence of one Md.Latif with the recovery of 30 vials containing Heroin powder where it was kept hiding by the drug dealer Kingpin Md.Ramijuddin.

The items were seized and the drug dealer Kingpin and his associate were arrested. They along with the seized items were handed over to Irilbung Police station, police said.
