Cancer survivor 5 Gold winner master athlete Laikangbam Inaobi warmly recieved in Imphal

Imphal: Master Athlete Laikangbam Inaobi Devi, resident of Lalambung Takhellambam Leikai, Imphal West, who represented Manipur bagged five gold medals in the 42nd National Master Athletic Championship held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.

She was warmly recieved by members of Lalambung Takhellambam Leikai Youth Development Organization as she landed Imphal on Tuesday.

Inanobi bagged the medals in Hammer Throw, Javelin Throw, Shot Put and in two relay races.

The 70 years old athlete is a cancer survivor.

“I was not sure of getting the medals as I became week. Due to blessings of the Almighty, Mother Manipur and support of my children and of my locality I could get the medals,” Inaobi said.
