Secretariat employees withdraw cease work strike over pay irregularity

Imphal: Manipur Secretariat Services Association (MSSA) has withdrawn its indefinite cease work strike on the late evening of Tuesday.

An official letter issued on Monday by MSSA president L. Purujit said the employees under the umbrella of the association will launch indefinite cease work strike on Tuesday if the government fails to issue its monthly salary on the 1st day of every month.

On Tuesday a meeting was conducted among the representatives of MSSA and deputy secretary, general administrative department.

During the meeting an amicable solution was brought and with the solution the indefinite cease work strike which was to be launched on Tuesday has been withdrawn, said Purujit.
