Traffic police personnel rewarded Rs 1 lakh cash

Imphal: Manipur chief minister N.Biren Singh on Wednesday handed over cash reward of Rs 1 lakh to a traffic personnel for his exemplary dedication to service on Wednesday.
The name of the traffic police personnel is BT Henjoy Vaiphei posted at Churachandpur.
A video clip of the traffic police personnel went viral on social media while performing his traffic duty at Churachandpur under heavy rain.
The chief minister also shared the video clip on his facebook wall with a caption that “His dedication to service is truly commendable. Tomorrow I ‘ll be handling out cash reward for his exemplary commitment to serve the public.”

As the chief minister made the announcement on his facebook wall, BT Henjoy Vaiphei was called at the chief minister’s secretariat and handed over the cash reward and Good Service.
“This is the benefit of using social media and I saw his work at social media”, Biren said.
Henjoy said each traffic police personnel or any individual should know their duty. He appealed the public to follow the traffic rules.
Superintendent of police, traffic, K Ajitkumar Sharma said, most of the traffic police personnel have been doing their duty with dedication. However, sometime violation of traffic rules are witnessed in Imphal city area.
The traffic issue in the Imphal city area can be controlled only when people starts cooperating with the traffic police.
He appeals the public to follow traffic rules and regulation strictly to avoid unwanted incidents and traffic congestion.
