IRB Jawan suspended for renting government quarter

Imphal: A follower of 5th India Reserve Battalion (IRB), Thengu Chingjin has been suspended as he was found renting his government quarter to another person.

An order issued by 5th IRB Commandant Amang Haokip on Wednesday said follower M Ginchingkhup was found renting his government quarter to one Thangzagin Zou. Ginchingkhup, a Follower in ‘TRG’ Company, has been suspended immediately under Rule no 33 of Assam Police Manual Part-III.

The order prohibited him from leaving the headquarters without the permission of the commandant during the suspension period.

Manipur government had earlier warned to take action against anyone who rents government alloted quarters to others.
