One drug peddler arrested with Heroin

Imphal: A team of Imphal East District Police commando unit seized Heroin powder and nabbed one drug peddler from Regional Institute of Medical Sciences road in front of Sky hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

The apprehended person was identified as one Thanglianmang Zou alias Mangcha, 43 ,son of Ginjakhup Zou of New-Zoupeng Village, Churachandpur district.

The police team under the supervision of additional superintendent of police (Ops), Imphal East, Kh. Herojit Singh conducted an operation at RIMS road, Lamphel, Imphal West after providing prior information to Imphal West district police.

During the activity 10 soap cases containing Heroin powder weighing around 150 gm was detected from the possession of Thanglianmang.

Thanglianmang revealed the police that he had frequently transported heroin powder from Churachandpur to Imphal on the instruction of one Rojit from New-Checkon, Imphal-East and he brought the said recovered heroin powder from Churachanrpur and about to deliver the same to the said Rojit.

The arrested person along with the seizures was handed over to Heingang Police station.
