Two women nabbed with 1 kg Heroin

Imphal: A team of Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) police station seized 1 kg of heroin powder and arrested two women drug peddlers along Imphal-Churachandpur road on Friday.

The arrested persons were identified as one Rose Gangte,28, wife of late Kamlanden Gante, resident of Tuibuong Village, Churachandpur District and Nemleilam Guite alias Lalam, wife of O Zangminlen Guite, resident of Vengnom Village, Tuibuong, Churachandpur District.

The heroin powder was detected from their possession while conducting frisking and checking near Jangnomphai Village, Tuibong along Imphal-Churachandpur Road under the supervision of Head of Anti-Narcotics Task Force as a part of “War on Drugs 2.0”.

A case has been registered with NAB police station for investigation, police said.
