MLA Arunkumar supporters demand apology against abusing him, cautions consequences


Imphal: Supporters of Wangkei MLA Thangjam Arunkumar strongly condemned using of abusive word against the MLA during his visit at Telipati blast site on Friday and demanded the abuser to apologise in 24 hours.

A press note issued by workers of MLA Thangjam Arunkumar said, being people of Wangkhei Assembly Constituency they strongly condemned that one bomb that exploded at Telipati (in the constituency) injuring one person.

Following the blast Arunkumar visited the blast site. Tension erupted by the locals of Telipati alleging the police personnel that that blast was occurred due to reckless of police personnel who are doing duty in the area.

While police along with local MLA were controlling the tense people, one of the protestors shouted to MLA by using abusive words. Using such words is very unfortunate, the MLA supporters said.

The involved person should apologise within 24 hours for using abusive words to the MLA. Intensive steps will be taken with the people of Wangkhei if fails to apologise within the deadline and the person should bear the consequences, they warned.
