2 drug peddlers apprehended

Imphal: The Imphal East Police on Saturday apprehended two drug peddlers from Hatta Minuthong area as War on Drugs continued.

They were identified as Md. Sabir Ahamed, 31, of Golapati Maning Leikai, Porompat and Makakmayum Shahnawaz, 24, of Yairipok Changamdabi Makha Leikai.

From their possession, the police recovered one soap case containing Heroin powder, 83 plastic vials containing Heroin powder, 30 N10 tablets, 38 SP Capsules and five mobile phones.

Both the arrested persons along with the seized items have handed over to Porompat Police station for further necessary legal action, police said.
