Cache of weapons recovered in Manipur’s Bishnupur

Imphal: Keithelmanbi battalion of IGAR (South) under Spear Corps in a joint operation with Manipur Police recovered cache of weapons and stores in Bishnupur district, Manipur on Wednesday.

Security forces along with Manipur Police, based on specific input, launched an operation which led to the recovery of arms and ammunitions. The haul included one assault Rifle along with three magazines and 54 live rounds of 5.56mm calibre, one .32mm pistol and four live rounds, one hand grenade and four Kenwood hand held radio set.

The recovered items were handed over to Nambol Police station for further investigation, the Assam Rifles said.
