‘Central finance committee approves to get Rs 3,500 crore from World Bank for Manipur concrete roads’

Imphal: To construct concrete road in the state to avoid frequent damage of roads of Manipur, central finance committee has approved to get Rs 3,500 crore from the World Bank.
This was stated by chief minister N. Biren Singh while addressing reporters at state BJP office, here on Wednesday.
He said people have been facing frequent road damage during the rainy season. BJP will bring phase by phase development, which cannot happen at one time.
The chief minister said there is no issues regarding the ethnic communities and it is not time to create issues. He warned outsiders that they should not try to create enmity among the ethnic communities of Manipur.
He said during the 100 days programme of the BJP led government more than 100 programmes will be inaugurated. The developmental works under 100 days programme will be inaugurated by union Home Minister, Amit Shah, he added.
Under the Modi government in the last 8 years many welfare schemes, developmental works had been taken up in Manipur. Under the central scheme ‘Har Ghar Jal’ around 69 per cent of household has received drinking tap water where mere 5.7 per cent household received drinking tap water before the BJP government, Biren said.
With the support from public BJP will try to bring more development for the welfare of people in the years to come, he added.
Each BJP MLA will be interacting with the BJP members every Saturday at the state BJP office, he said.
