PSA oxygen plant contractual technicians demands to pay pending honorarium

Imphal: All Manipur PSA Oxygen Plant Committee has urged the state government and authority concerned to issue pending monthly honorarium and to extend their contractual period.

President of the committee, Laishram Surjit told reporters at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul on Friday that a total of 91 contractual staff were engaged during the initial period of 2nd wave of Covid-19 pandemic.

He said the contractual staff have completed its contract period. However, due to the present situation and for emergency purpose the contractual staff are being utilised by the management committee of the respective hospitals.

Since they were engaged as technicians of PSA oxygen plants, no monthly honorarium had been received. The contractual staff of Thoubal and Churachandpur PSA oxygen plants had received only  honorarium of two and half months.

He appealed the state government and authority concerned to pay their pending monthly honorarium and to extend their contractual period.
