2 including 1 woman drug ferrier nabbed with Herion


Imphal: Manipur Police has foiled attempt to ferry Herion No. 4 powder, procured from Myanmar, to Dimapur in Nagaland, on Saturday.

Police teams of Imphal West along with women police personnel conducted frisking and checking in front of Johnstone Hr. Secondary school Eastern side. During that two drug dealers were nabbed.

The drug dealers were identified as Lhingboi Kipgen, 37, daughter of late Lunkhosei Kipgen of Govajang village, Tengnoupal district  and one male namely Ch. Konai Maring, 30, son of Modun Maring of  Kambang Khunou Village,  Chandel.

From the possession of Lhingboi, 50  soap cases containing suspected to be Heroin No. 4 ( 660 gm) hidden inside an apple carton box and two thermo flask were seized. On questioning, she disclosed that she collected the soap cases from one Lalam of Myanmar on May31, a police report said.

They stated that they were going to proceed to Dimapur for delivering the said soap cases to one Boishi of Dimapur.

The police also recovered two thermo flasks, thee mobile handset, two Aadhar cards and a sum of Rs 4260.

The arrested persons along with seized articles have been handed over to City Police station and registered a case for investigation, police  said.
