MLA Nishikant assures 100 percent service

Imphal: MLA Nishikant Sapam assured that he will deliver his 100 per cent service to the people of Keishamthong Assembly Constituency just after the moment local area development fund is sanctioned.

Nishikant said he will fulfil the promise made during the election campaign.

He was speaking during felicitation programme on Friday of two rank holders of the recent Class XII examination, 2022 conducted by COHSEM and six other persons for their heroic activities on helping in extinguishing a fire outbreak occurred at a residence in Keishampat Leimajam Leikai on June 13.

The two rank holders were Dhanthoi Soubam daughter of S. Homeshor Singh and Okram Chanu Amita of Sagolband Nepra Menjor Leikai appeared the examination from Xtra Edge School, Ghari and Uniqueca Laisom daughter of L Boyboy and Sandy Laisom of Keishamthong Leisom Leirak from Enlighten Knowledge Higher Secondary School, Sangakpham.

Dhanthoi secured a total mark of 441 and stood 9th position in arts stream while Uniqueca secured a total mark of 450 and stood 11th position in science stream.

Nishikant said people in the Assembly Constituency are not facing the flood issue during the recent heavy rainfall due to the activities carried by members of Team Nishikant.

For Keishamthong, he said, he will try to bring a permanent solution of any sort of issues including waste management.

He assured that people of the constituency has started receiving the benefits on distribution of ration. The issues on drinking water that people of the constituency are facing since years will be solved soon, he added.

Nishikant said that if those six persons namely Sougrakpam Romeo Singh, Md Jamijur, Md Samir, Md Kafur, Md Ethen and Md Ibungo did not take immediate action during the fire outbreak occurred at a residence located at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai on June 13, more would have been damaged.

Keishampat is one of the most congested area in the Imphal city. On the day of the incident the six persons without having fear rushed inside the residence and tried to extinguish the fire. They secured the cooking gas cylinder which could bring more damage in the residential area if exploded.

To motivate the position holders and the six persons, they were felicitated with stoles, bouquets and cash rewards.
