Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh on Thursday inspected the ongoing construction of 3rd Manipur Bhavan in Delhi, at Dwarka.
“Reached Delhi a while back and headed to Dwarka to inspect the ongoing construction of the new Manipur Bhavan,” Biren writes on his Facebook wall.
“Very soon, we will have another magnificent Manipur Bhavan,” he said.
In another post with video the chief minister said, “As committed, the construction of the new Manipur Bhavan in Dwarka, New Delhi is underway in full swing. We will soon deliver this Bhavan to the people of Manipur.”
The Bhavan will have 104 guests rooms, two conference rooms, basement parking for 100 light motor vehicles and other amenities. Twenty rooms equipped with medical ventilators will be included for patients who are going for medical treatment. This Bhavan will accommodate not only government officials but also students and patients visiting Delhi. Manipur Bhavan will be constructed in Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru soon, says the video clip.
The chief minister in January 2020 announced that around 1 acre of land has been bought at the cost of Rs 24 crore for construction of the 3rd Manipuri Bhawan in Delhi, at Dwarka. “Around Rs 100-150 crore might be required for the construction.”
