PWD orders to remove encroached structures, stacked materials along Thangmeiband roads

Imphal: Manipur public works department (PWD) has issued notification on Monday to remove all such encroached structures and stacked materials in Thangmeiband within 10 days from the date of notification.

It is found that there are several unauthorised constructions and extension shops, railing, balconies, verandah, stair, ramp encroaching along the road side, footpath and drain including stacking of construction materials, debris etc. resulting very inconvenience and disturbances to the commuters causing frequent traffic jams and unavailability of parking area, the notification said.

The notification issued by the chief executive engineer, Imphal West Division informed to all the concerned residing along the road in Thangmeiband to remove all such encroached structures and stacked materials within 10 days from the date of notification.

The roads are Thangmeiband road ( Khoyathong junction to New Assembly), Youth Centre Leirak, Thangmeiband, Hijam Dewan Leirak, Thangmeiband, Chingakham Lampak to Lamphel Super Market, Watham Leirak to Lairenhanjaba Leirak, Nagamapal to PHYLO, road opposite to DM College NCC Office, Kangjabi Leirak, RIMS Traffic Rotary to Lamphel Sanakeithel and Lamphel Super Market road.
