Two drug smugglers arrested with Heroin No.4 in Manipur

Imphal: Kakching Police of Manipur on Tuesday arrested two persons who were ferrying Heroin No.4 at Leimanai Chingjin in Kakching district of Manipur.

The arrested drug dealers were identified as Lunkhojang Touthang, 40, son of Jamkhoson Touthang of T. V Gamnomphai village, Tengnoupal, at present residing at  T. Monglen village Chandel, and  Thangjamang Touthang, 34, son of Jamkholen Touthang of Moltuk village, Chandel.

They were coming on a Maruti Gypsy vehicle bearing no registration coming from Pallel side at the Leimanai Chingjin commando check-post.

The police team detected 50 soap cases containing Heroin No.4 powder concealed in a specially designed chamber below the Chassis of the vehicle, Kakching superintendent of police Shrey Vats said.

The powder drug was found to weigh approximately 661 gm.

The arrested persons along with the seized articles were taken to Kakching Police station for taking up further necessary legal action.
