NEP will bring huge benefit to Manipur students: Subhas Sarkar

Imphal: Union minister of state for education Subhas Sarkar during his 4 days visit to Imphal said the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 will bring a huge developmental change in education sector as the policy will give huge benefits to the students in Manipur.
The minister told reporters at the conference hall of Thambal Shanglen located at Nityaipat Chuthek, Imphal on Saturday that the national education policy is a multi-disciplinary policy where students will be given various opportunities while pursuing their education. Despite of the benefits the policy will provide the benefit of Academic bank of credits (ABC).
Subhas said regarding the failure to include government school students in the first 25 rank holders in the recent class XII examination conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur, he will discuss it with the state’s concerned minister.
He said interaction will be taken place during his visit with the beneficiaries who are benefited with the government schemes and policies including in education sector.
He expressed his condolence on the tragic incident of landslide occurred at Nungba district where many havd deceased and injured.
He appreciated chief minister N. Biren Singh for his involvement by by taking all possible care even by going at the site and for helping with monetary assistance to the victims.
Subhas said with the BJP government various developmental projects had been initiated and many developmental schemes had been delivered to the people of Manipur in a span of time.
He said with the Biren led 2nd term government, one of the most important issue in Manipur which is the drug issue has been started controlling successfully.
The government has also provided various benefits in health sector, road connectivity and others, he added.
During the BJP government more than 22 lakh households had been given tap drinking water connection and many youths have been given benefits under start-up schemes, he said.
The central government is overwhelmed with the initiatives taken by Biren led government for the welfare of the public, he added.
