Meeyamgi Numit for Kakching held

Imphal: District Administration, Kakching on Monday organised Meeyamgi Numit (People’s Day) for Kakching district at its deputy commissioner office complex.

The programme was inaugurated by Adhyakshya, Kakching Zila Parishad, Phuritsabam Jiten Singh.

The Adhyakshya told reporters that Meeyamgi Numit has been organised under the instruction of chief minister N. Biren Singh. Altogether 25 department have opened stalls and provided their services to the general public.

Additional deputy commissioner, Kakching A. Adahrii Maheo informed that Meeyamgi Numit for Kakching district will be organised on 4th of every month.

As part of the programme, district agriculture office, Thoubal/Kakching have distributed 160 micro-nutrient fertilizer (Microfert-L) to the farmers free of cost.

District Health Society, Kakching administered Covid vaccination, testing of sugar, BP etc. free of cost while Kakching Range, Thoubal Forest Division provides free seedling distribution.

Meeyamgi Numit is a service platform for the general public to address their grievances. Hundreds of people turned up to highlight their grievances. District level officers attended the programme.
