Subhas Sarkar assures to discuss on varsity campus extension

Imphal: Union minister of state for education Subhas Sarkar on Tuesday sId he will consult with the ministry concerned regarding the proposal for Manipur University campus extension.
The minister was speaking to reporters, on his last day of his 4-day visit to Manipur, at Thambal Shanglen, BJP office located at Nityaipat Chuthek, here.
Subhas said Manipur University has over 6,000 students and has a significant numbers of affiliated colleges. He said the proposal for extension of Manipur University campus is legitimate as the more infrastructure and adequate land is needed for being a central university.
He said Manipur University should sent a soft reminder to the concerned ministry and with that he will discussed with the ministry with a positive manner.
During interaction with the beneficiaries who are benefitted with government schemes and policies, the minister said, “It is found that the beneficiaries are well connected with the government.”
He departed from Imphal after the media interaction.
