Drud peddler nabbed with Brown Sugar

Imphal: A team of Chuhandpur district police nabbed one drug peddler from his residence at Molkon village, Churachandpur district and seized 320 gm of Brown Sugar on Wednesday.

The arrested person was identified as one Thangminlal Haokip alias Minlal, 29, son of Ngulmang Haokip.

Police said at around 1 am district police received an information that some contraband drugs are stored in soap cases are kept concealed in a house. Based on the information a team of district police rushed to the house.

A total of 24 soap cases in different colour containing Brown Sugar were detected, concealed inside a rice stack.

Thangminlal was arrested and seized the Brown Sugar. A case has been registered under ND and PS Act for investigation, the police source said.
