40k WY tablets recovered in Manipur

Imphal: As Manipur government’s War on Drugs campaign continues, security forces recovered 40, 000 World is Yours (WY) tablets from Thoubal district of Manipur on Thursday.

Keithelmanbi battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) in a joint operation with Manipur Police recovered the drug from three drug peddlers travelling through Lilong in Thoubal.

The seized narcotics were assessed to be worth approximately Rs 1.80 crore in the international market, the Assam Rifles said.

The recovered items along with the drug peddlers were handed over to Lilong Police station for further investigation, it added.
