Manipur government instructs to screen people entering the state for Covid-19

Imphal: Directorate of Health Services, Manipur on Wednesday directed chief medical officers of six districts—Churachandpur Tengnoupal, Kamjong, Senapati, Jiribam and Imphal West to start screening for Covid-19 of all persons entering Manipur.

It also instructed Army/CAPF units to arrange for Covid-19 testing of their personnel entering Manipur.

The instruction was made in view of the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the state in last few days as a preventive measure.

For Churachandpur district the screening is to done at Behiang, Sinzawl, for Tengnoupal it is at Moreh Gate  No 1, 2 and ICP, for Kamjong at Nambisha, for Senapati at Mao Gate, for Jiribam at Jiri Gate and for Imphal West at Bir Tikendrapt International Airport.
