Manipur records 22 Covid-19 cases for 3 consecutive days, active cases rise to 118

Imphal: Manipur has recorded 22 Covid-19 positive cases for three consecutive days taking the active cases tally to 118 in the state on Friday.

The 22 new cases belonged to Imphal East (4), Imphal West (13), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (1), Kamjong (1), Chandel (1) and Churachandpur (1).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The positivity rate was 9.9 percent. The new cases were confirmed positive out of 223 samples.

No Covid death was reported. The cumulative number of deaths remained at 2120.

One Covid-19 patient was discharged from Home Isolation.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,37,389. The recovery rate is 98.37 percent.

As of Thursday, a total of 196 D-typo Oxygen cylinders and 51 B-typo Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in Manipur.
