Large number of Jaganath devotees throng at Govindajee temple road

Imphal: The last Rath Yatra (Kang Chingba) festival of the season was celebrated in Imphal with dragging of the rath (kang) of Lord Jaganath by devotees amid ritual ceremony along the Palace Compound road leading to Shree Shree Govindajee temple, here, on Saturday.
The festival of Kang began on the second day of the fourth lunar calender “Engen” with Ratha Yatra.
People offered fruits and flowers with prayers to the lord Jaganath, Balabhadra and Subhadra.
The Kang Chingba of Shree Shree Govindajee was performed along the Palace Compound road
Similar celebration was also seen at ISKON, here. Singing in name and glory of the Lord, the devotees dragged ISKON Rath along Imphal Airport road, where people laid offerings for the Lord.
The Rath Yatra was also seen in various localities of Manipur Valley.
