Covid-19 active cases tally rises to 144 in Manipur.

Imphal: With the confirmation of 27 new positive cases the Covid-19 active cases tally has risen to 144 in Manipur on Sunday.

Thirteen Covid-19 patients were recovered and discharged from home isolation on this day.

The fresh cases belonged to Imphal East (7), Imphal West (13), Thoubal (1), Bislumpur (3), Kakching (1), Tengnoupal (1) and Chandel (1).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The positivity rate was 7.6 percent.

The cumulative number of deaths remained at 2120 with no Covid related death report.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,37,439 and the recovery rate is 98.35 percent, the control room said.

A total of 82 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 3 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur, it added.
