Manipur reports 45 new Covid-19 positive cases

Imphal: Manipur on Monday reported 45 new Covid-19 positive and 17 recovered cases pushing the active cases tally to 172.

The fresh cases belonged to Imphal East (15), Imphal West (21), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (2), Churachandpur (2) and Chandel (2).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Covid-19 common control room said.

The positivity rate was 15.5 percent.

“Today, 17 persons were discharged. They are from Home Isolation(14) and Shija Hospital (3),” the control room said.

However, no Covid-19 related death case was reported on this day. The Covid related death tally remained at 2120.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,37,484. The recovery rate is 98.33 percent, the control room said.
