59 new cases push Covid-19 active cases to 216 in Manipur

Imphal: In Manipur, a total of 59 persons (26M, 33F) from the general population were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases at RIMS (11), JNIMS (5) and other testing centres (43) at the positivity rate of 15.6 percent.
The positive cases were from Imphal East (21), Imphal West (25), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (1), Senapati (2), Ukhrul (1), Kakching (1), Kamjong (2), Kangpokpi (1), Noney (1) and Chandel (3). All necessary medical precautions and measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.
The State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee has reported nil cases of Covid 19 death. The cumulative number of deaths is 2120, it added.
A total of 15 persons were discharged from Home Isolation, the control room said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,37,543 and the recovery rate is 98.30 percent, it added.
As of Monday, a total of 133 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 19 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in Manipur, it said.
