70 more positive for Covid-19 in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur on Wednesday reported 70 persons (30M, 40F) as new Covid-19 positive cases at RIMS (4), JNIMS (9) and other testing centres (57).

A total of 18 persons were discharged from Home Isolation. The active cases tally went up at 268.

The new positive cases belonged to Imphal East (17), Imphal West (32), Thoubal (7), Bishnupur (3), Senapati (3), Ukhrul (1), Kangpokpi (1), Tengnoupal (1), Noney (1), Churachandpur (3) and Chandel (1).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The positivity rate was as high as 15.8 percent.

With no Covid related death, the cumulative number of deaths in the state remained at 2120.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,37,613 and the recovery rate is 98.26 percent.

As on Tuesday, a total of 133 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 19 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
