Covid-19 active cases rise to 320 with 77 new cases in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur on Thursday reported 77 new Covid-19 positive cases and 25 recovered cases resulting to the active cases tally of 320.

The fresh cases (42M, 35F) were confirmed at RIMS (3), JNIMS (5) and other testing centres (69).

They belonged to Imphal East (12), Imphal West (46), Thoubal (3), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (4), Senapati (1), Uldrul (2), Kangpokpi (2), Churachandpur (1) and Chandel (3).

All necessary medical precaution, measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The positivity rate moved down to 13.6 percent.

No Covid-19 related death case was reported. The cumulative number of death remained at 2120.

The recovered 25 persons were discharged from Home Isolation (19), RIMS (2), JNIMS (1) and Shija (3).

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,37,690 and the recovery rate is 98.23 percent, the control room said.

As on Wednesday a total of 99 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 19 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
