Security forces foil cross border smuggling in Manipur

Imphal: Tengnoupal Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) along with Manipur Police foiled cross border narcotics smuggling in Tengnoupal on Friday.
Based on specific input, troops of Assam Rifles and Tengnoupal Police station intercepted a vehicle coming from Moreh. On thorough checking of the vehicle, 13 packages containing WY tablets were recovered.
The seized narcotics were assessed to be worth Rs 6.5 crore, the Assam Rifles said.
The seized narcotics along with drug peddler were handed over to Tengnoupal Police station for further investigation, it added.
