Students, teachers of Manipur government schools to be rewarded on August 13

Imphal: The headmasters and teachers of Manipur government schools which secured high pass percentage in the recently declared High School Leaving Certificate Examination 2022 will be rewarded on August 13 this year.

This was said by chief minister N. Biren Singh on Thursday at his secretariat during distribution of cheques amounting to Rs 5 Lakh each to District Youth Affairs and Sports Officers of 16 districts of the state for opening of District Level Khelo India Centre.

He said the state government schools have recorded a high pass percentage of 60.40 percent in the this year’s High School Leaving Certificate Examination.

The pass percentage of government schools in HSLC examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur never crossed 55 percent in the last ten years, he added.

Appreciating all the students, teaching and non-teaching staff of government schools for their dedicated efforts towards achieving such record pass percentage, the chief minister made the announcement.
