Agniveer recruitment for Manipur to be held at Leimakhong

Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh expressed his sincere gratitude and thankfulness to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and defence minister Rajnath Singh for making suitable arrangement for the Agnipath Army Recruitment Rally for the youths of Manipur in the state itself.

Youths of the state will now have the opportunity to appear for the Recruitment Rally in the state, a press release  y the chief minister’s secretariat said on Saturday

The Agniveer Recruitment for all the districts of Manipur, which was earlier scheduled to be held at Dimapur in Nagaland have been rescheduled to be held at Leimakhong, Manipur from November 23 to December 5. Registration for the recruitment rally can be done by logging in to joinindianarmy.nic.in and the registration window will be opened till August 3. Candidates who have already registered earlier need not register again, the release said.

Agnipath Scheme was introduced by the Government of India on June 14 for recruitment of soldiers below the rank of commissioned officers into the three services of the armed forces. The Scheme will provide opportunity to youths of the country to serve the nation as Agniveers through enrolment in the Armed Forces, for a period of four years, through Pan India merit based recruitment.
